Escapement mechanisms are used to regulate how quickly mechanical timepieces run. I made one to explore 3D printing gears, spiral springs, and friction sensitive mechanisms. This design features

• Adjustable rotational inertia for balance wheel

• Ratchet mechanism for winding mainspring

• Adjustable limits for the pallet fork (the thing that makes ticking sound)
